Raucous Blue Ivy Stadium Crowd Propels Black Knights to 4-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1
|
The Brooklyn Black Knights defeated the Columbus Codebreakers, 4-2 in Game 2 of the Divisional Round today. Earning player of the game honors was starter Felipe Clavijo, who threw 8 innings of 2-hit ball. The win moves Brooklyn into a 1-1 tie with Columbus in the series.
Clavijo, a native of Boca Chica, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Columbus hitters off-balance, while giving the Black Knights 8 quality innings. Clavijo threw 100 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.
"We lost," Columbus manager Julián Cancil said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th, 2028 at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Slated to start are Wilson Deleón for the Black Knights and Kinnosuke Sato for the Codebreakers.
