Carbajal, Mustangs Wallop Bumblebees in Game 3 of Triple A League Championship
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Sergio Carbajal, the Billings Mustangs stopped the visiting Pasadena Bumblebees, 11-6, in Game 3 of the Triple A League Championship today. Carbajal was 2 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Mustangs, who now lead the best-of-7 series 2-1.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Pedro Renterías put Billings in front, 4-1, with a 2-run double. The Mustangs went on to win the ballgame.
"We're feeling good about this," said Mustangs manager Keith Irwin. "We have got an advantage now and we just need to keep the pressure on."
Game 4 is set to be played on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2028 at Cobb Field. The scheduled starters for the game are Chan De for the Bumblebees and Robert Howard for the Mustangs.
