Road Win Lifts Billings to 1-0 Lead in Triple A League Championship
The Billings Mustangs faced a tough opponent in Pasadena Bumblebees right fielder Roberto Trevino, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the Triple A League Championship, which they now lead 1-0. The Mustangs won 8-6 at The Hole, despite the efforts of Trevino, who was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once and was named player of the game.

Going deep for Billings was Xiao-xuan Zhou. The first baseman had a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning for the Mustangs. It put his team ahead, 2-0, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Zhou went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Zhou said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."

Game 2 is set to be played on Saturday, September 30th, 2028 at The Hole. The scheduled starters for the game are Robert Howard for Billings and Baltwin Baars for Pasadena.
