Suzuki, Aeropostales Wallop Flash in Game 6 of Triple A League Championship
|
The Indian Wells Aeropostales and the Fairfield Flash will take the Triple A League Championship to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Aeropostales beat the Flash 7-4 at Stars Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Indian Wells shortstop Motonobu Suzuki was named player of the game in the win after he belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Indian Wells got a break when Suzuki went to the plate. With two outs, a runner on 1st and the Aeropostales leading 4-2, Suzuki hit a 2-run home run.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Indian Wells manager Brad Anderson.
Game 7 is set to be played on Sunday, October 8th, 2028 at Stars Field. Slated to start are Yeong-suk Kim for the Flash and Mushanokoji Uchida for the Aeropostales.
