One game in and the Triple A League Championship is already looking exhausting.

The Fairfield Flash and the Indian Wells Aeropostales needed 10 innings to settle Game 1, with the Flash finally taking the 6-5 victory at Stars Field. Earning player of the game honors in the win was Fairfield starting pitcher Saiyid Mashwanis, who threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The Flash and Aeropostales will play a best-of-7 series.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the tenth, Kieran Hurd hit a sacrifice fly. The Flash took the lead, 6-5.

"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Hurd. "Winning helps."

Game 2 is set to be played on Sunday, October 1st, 2028 at Stars Field. Slated to start are Yeong-suk Kim for Fairfield and Mushanokoji Uchida for Indian Wells.
