Cyclones Lose to Bloodhounds in Walk Off
|
The Boise Bloodhounds defeated the Coney Island Cyclones, 7-6, at Grand Canyon Valley Park today. Leading the charge for Boise was right fielder Doug Parks. He was 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Boise reliever Edmundo Luas picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Iwane Kaneko absorbed the loss. The Bloodhounds saw their record improve to 71-91.
The game came to an abrupt end with one out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Kunimichi Suzuki, Roberto Guzmán hit a sacrifice fly. It gave Boise the 7-6 walk-off win.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Parks.
