Victory Over Hitmen Takes So Cal to 53-26
|
So Cal and Chicago duked it out at SouthSide Park and the Republic came out victorious.
The So Cal Republic racked up a win at SouthSide Park, bumping off the Chicago Hitmen, 6-3. Adhipa Vemireddy, who started for So Cal, pitched effectively for his team. Vemireddy went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 3. His record improves to 11-3.
In the top of the second, So Cal second baseman Dayne Reagan had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Reagan stroked a bases-clearing triple to center. It made the score 4-0, So Cal. For the game, he went 2-5 with a triple. He drove in 3 runs.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Vemireddy.
So Cal has an impressive 53-26 record.
