River Chiefs Beat Mustangs, 4-1
|
Juan Martínez pitched a gem to lead Chippewa to a 4-1 victory over the San Angelo Mustangs. The River Chiefs bumped their record to 101-60 with this latest triumph.
Chippewa took a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Atsushi Sugita hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring River Chiefs fans to their feet.
"We've got a great group of guys," Sugita said, "and we're having fun right now."
