Getting an impressive start from Sawao Daikawa, Kingwood beat Barrow by the score of 4-2. Dave Coffin, credited with the win, is now 7-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 0.2 innings. Javier González, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 30th save.

Miguel Rodríguez had a productive trip to the plate with one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a double, helping Kingwood to the win.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Kingwood Knights manager Johan Gillberry.

The Knights go to 65-92, putting them 5th in the Buck O'Neil League Mariner Moose Division.
