The Charleston Panthers used an offensive barrage to beat the Chippewa River Chiefs, 10-1, at The Reservation. Kyle Hines led the way, going 3-for-4 for Charleston. Francisco Zúñiga, the winner, improved to 10-7. He held Chippewa to 0 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts. Eric Alexander picked up the save, his 1st.

Hines in the top of the second had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Panthers leading 2-0, he hit a bases-clearing double.
