Victoria Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
In a tight game between the San Angelo Mustangs and the Victoria Vikings, pitcher Masaru Jouda was terrific on the mound. The San Angelo left-hander was named the player of the game in San Angelo's 2-0 win. The Mustangs bumped their record to 88-71 with this latest triumph.
Kent Landry contributed to the San Angelo win. The 22-year old first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Landry went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
Landry said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
