|
In a low-scoring game between Nichols and Baltimore, pitcher Pedro Alejo was excellent. The Nichols left-hander was named the player of the game in Nichols's 3-1 win. Nichols bumps their record to 51-108 with the win.
The Gnats got an important contribution from pinch hitter Alfredo Ruíz, who in the top of the seventh knocked a 2-2 sinker into right for a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Gnats ahead, 2-1.
