The Baltimore Blue Claws wiggled past the Nichols Gnats, 6-5, at Old Bay Park. Baltimore catcher Matt Lilic earned player of the game honors. Baltimore reliever Tim Stady was the winner. His record is now 7-6. Katsuyuki Noguchi took the loss. With the win, the Blue Claws improved to 95-62.

Shunsho Meshizuka provided some late-game heroics for Baltimore. In the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a full count slider from Katsuyuki Noguchi and propelled Baltimore to a 6-5 lead.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Meshizuka said.
