Dao-zi Chou pitched a near no-hitter in leading New Orleans to a 3-0 triumph over the Coney Island Cyclones. At 83-75, the Jedi Knights find themselves in 4th place in the Buck O'Neil League San Diego Chicken Division.

Chou dominated for New Orleans, raising his record to 12-10. Coney Island hitters had few good at-bats against the left-hander, who scattered 1 hit over 8.1 innings while striking out 9.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Coney Island skipper Tony Chávez, "and it cost us."
