The Coney Island Cyclones turned back the Barrow Frosties, 4-3, at The Blizzard Bowl. Jorge Rivera was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. Kunimichi Suzuki converted his 2nd save in 3 tries. The Cyclones now have a mark of 63-92.
Yoshitoki Kitamura changed the game with one swing of the bat. With no one out in the top of the seventh, the Coney Island first baseman hammered a solo home run off Minoru Aoki. It was his 5th home run of the season. With it, Coney Island took the lead, 4-3.
"Good win for us," said Kitamura. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
