Blue Claws Drop Another One
|
Dedicated fans at Saints Ballpark weathered the storm to watch their beloved Saints beat the Blue Claws.
The St. Paul Saints racked up a win at Saints Ballpark, bumping off the Baltimore Blue Claws, 5-4. Franck Martin, who started for St. Paul, pitched effectively for his team. Taheiji Ohayashi notched his 31st save in 34 chances.
Chipping in for St. Paul was left fielder Jiao-long Xun. He stroked a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Xun went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 times.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Martin.
The Blue Claws have now dropped 5 straight.
