Eugene starter Jake Adkins put a stranglehold on the New Orleans offense. The right-hander had complete command of his sinker in leading the Emeralds to a 5-1 win. Jim Unknown, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities. Eugene goes to 92-63. The win puts them 6½ games up in their division.

Ramón Macías was a key contributor to the win for the Emeralds. In the top of the first with no one out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to right. He went 1-4.
