Nichols catcher Won-sub Pak picked up 4 ribbies while helping his team beat back the San Angelo Mustangs, 6-5. Nichols reliever Katsuyuki Noguchi picked up the win to move to 4-3. José Santos suffered the loss. The Gnats move to 49-105 with the win, while the Mustangs drop to 85-69.

With the bases empty in the bottom of the ninth, Pak delivered the knockout blow when he hit a walk-off solo home run to win it for Nichols. In the contest, Pak hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.

Pak described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
