Mike Ready was instrumental in his team's 8-6 triumph over the Kingwood Knights. The catcher was 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Coney Island Cyclones. Subaru Ohayashi sewed up the save, his 2nd. With the win, Coney Island goes to 62-90, while the Knights fall to 62-90.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Henry Amesbury hit a first pitch fastball from Dave Coffin for a 2-run single. It put Coney Island in front, 8-6.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ready told the Coney Island News.
