Vikings Stick Bloodhounds with 6-3 Loss
|
The Boise Bloodhounds were defeated, 6-3, by the Victoria Vikings. Leading the charge for Victoria was designated hitter Chris Griffin. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Victoria reliever Ian Kline picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Juan Macias was saddled with the loss. The win puts the Vikings at 73-78, while the Bloodhounds drop to 69-82.
The Vikings got a big boost from center fielder Wei-qiang Ju who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth inning off Bloodhounds hurler Edmundo Luas. It was his 30th RBI of the season and put Victoria on top, 4-3.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Griffin told the Victoria Gazette.
