Dao-zi Chou was in top form in a low-scoring contest between New Orleans and Victoria. The left-hander was named the player of the game in New Orleans's 1-0 win. Yoshikazu Ichihara converted his 20th save in 30 tries. New Orleans is 77-71 and Victoria, with the loss, 72-76.
The Vikings had little chance against Chou, who overpowered Victoria hitters and struck out 12.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Charles Luce.
