Coney Island beat Eugene at Coney Island Coliseum, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to second baseman Richard Fogden, who earned player of the game honors. He was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. The winner was Coney Island reliever Lucas Polidori, now 2-1. The loser was Jake Adkins. Parker Davis got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
Da-xia Ta contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped send Coney Island to the win.
"We found a way to get it done," Ta said.
The last-place Cyclones raised their record to 60-89.
