Brooks Delivers Walk-Off Win for Gamblers
|
The Las Vegas Gamblers scored a 5-4 win versus the Seattle Sasquatch at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard . Las Vegas left fielder Sean Brooks nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Las Vegas currently is in third place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division at 45-33.
Brooks had a game-changing double in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Greg Ward, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Gamblers a 5-4 lead. It was the 25th double of the year for Brooks.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Brooks told the Las Vegas Chronicle.
