Starting pitcher Sadahige Samurakami pitched well enough to help the Coney Island Cyclones beat the Victoria Vikings by the score of 5-4. Coney Island reliever Kenji Ito got the win, raising his record to 4-1. Mal Goff was tagged with the loss. Coney Island is now 58-84, while Victoria is 68-74.
Jorge Rivera found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Victoria hurler Mal Goff, the 18-year-old center fielder hit a sacrifice fly. His 31st RBI of the season put the Cyclones on top, 5-4.
In postgame remarks, Rivera simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
