A 4-RBI performance from the 19-year old center fielder Moromao Oshima helped the Baltimore Blue Claws beat the Boise Bloodhounds, 13-2. Baltimore reliever Todd Couch picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Ruben Silva took the loss. The first-place Blue Claws have won 5 straight.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the sixth inning when the Blue Claws sent teenager Ryutaro Kitamura to the plate against Bloodhounds hurler Sam Strickland. With runners on 1st and 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a first pitch cutter to score 1.

Boise manager Royce Dale called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
