The Boise Hawks and Sandy Springs Spartans were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at The Coliseum.
Sandy Springs right-hander Mike Taylor made an effective start against the Boise Hawks at The Coliseum, leading his team to a 6-4 win. Taylor, the winner, moves to 11-7. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up no walks. Larry Greer was called on to finish, recording his 6th save.
Reese Knight came through for Sandy Springs in the bottom of the first. With two out, Knight victimized Po-sin Pang with a grand slam home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put Sandy Springs on top, 4-0.
"We'll savor this win," Knight told the Sandy Springs Gazette, "then get ready for the next game."
