Win Streak Now at 8 for Rats
|
A 3-RBI performance from Kiyoemon Kawano, who is tied for 5th in the FFL in RBI with 101, helped the Rock River Rats beat the Carson City Mustang, 17-4. Rock River starter Douglas Pantall was credited with the win after throwing 89 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 12-3. The first-place Rats have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
Rock River right fielder Wladimir Esser contributed to the cause with a single in the top of the third. For the game, Esser was 2-4 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 times.
