Hutcheon goes 4-for-4 as Storm Troopers Squeeze Past Phoenix
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers turned back the Phoenix Lights, 6-5, at UFO Field. Richard Hutcheon was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Earning his 36th save of the year was Armando Medina. The win puts the Storm Troopers at 93-68, while the Lights drop to 100-61.
Tomás Garza, who was drafted in the three round of the 2026 draft, helped out the San Antonio cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-3.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Antonio manager Ernie Goslin.
