Lights Topple Wolverines with Late Rally
The Phoenix Lights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Noritoshi Sato, who muffled the Wichita offense en route to a tight 2-1 Lights win at Howling Park. The third-place Wolverines have lost 5 straight games.

Both teams had trouble scoring runs. So, Luis Chávez's at-bat in the top of the ninth was crucial. With two out, the Phoenix shortstop hit a run-scoring double, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

"Not to put too fine a point on it," said Sato, "but we really needed that win."
