Predators Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
In a well-pitched game between the Topeka Predators and the Carson City Mustang, pitcher Miguel Hinojosa was superb. The Topeka left-hander was named the player of the game in Topeka's 2-1 win. Tony Ruíz picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Julien Caron was tagged with the loss. Topeka now has a 3-game win streak.
Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the 12th inning, Topeka catcher Jim Lambert had a chance to be the hero. Facing Carson City pitcher Julien Caron with the bases loaded, Lambert hit a sacrifice fly.
"This win should put a little bounce in our step," said Lambert.
