Predators Bang Out 11-6 Win Versus DeKalb
|
The Topeka Predators topped the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 11-6, with youngster Toby Hone playing a key role. Hone went 3 for 6 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Predators in the win. Reliever Yodo Takaki picked up the win. His record improves to 5-0. Tetsuzan Ichihara took the loss. The 5th-place Predators are now 70-86, the Cornhuskers 57-99.
In the top of the sixth, Jim Lambert muscled up and hit a grand slam home run. It put Topeka ahead, 10-6. For the game, Lambert was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Hone told the Topeka News.
