Loss to Storm Troopers Extends Cincinnati Losing Streak
|
San Antonio Storm Troopers starter António Encarnación had all his pitches working at The Studio. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 San Antonio win over the Cincinnati Snaps. Encarnación, the winner, moves to 10-12. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. Cody Ladd converted his 5th save in 12 tries.
Ramón De Jesús went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 against the Snaps. In the top of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting San Antonio in front, 1-0.
"First place," said San Antonio Storm Troopers manager Ernie Goslin. "This is right where we want to be."
