The Madison Beehive trumped the Long Island Ducks, 6-3, at The Hive. Madison first baseman Michael Jenkins was named player of the game for his performance. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Jim Unknown, his 1st this season. The 4th-place Beehive lifted their record to 69-82.

There were several reasons the Beehive beat the Ducks, but one factor was Rafael Campos. In the bottom of the sixth, the Madison center fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 4-3 lead.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Jenkins told the Madison Gazette.
