Cornhuskers Get Past Boise for 8-7 Win
Basque Block Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the DeKalb Cornhuskers and the Boise Hawks.

DeKalb beat Boise, 8-7. The win in part was due to center fielder Zheng-ze Joe, who nabbed player of the game honors. He belted 2 home runs. Kevin Spurr earned his 13th save in 16 tries.

Gilles Cochet had a productive trip to the plate with two out in the top of the seventh inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he drew a walk, helping DeKalb to the win.

"I felt good up there," said Joe. "I saw the ball well."

The last-place Cornhuskers improved to 56-96.
