Great Effort by Pai Not Enough in 9-7 Loss
San Antonio designated hitter Kol-in-sen Pai pounded Rock River Rats pitchers at The Clone Army, but it was not enough to keep the Storm Troopers from falling, 9-7. Pai was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Rock River reliever Kyu-cheol Ch'oe was the winner. His record is now 6-1. The losing pitcher was Nobuhiko Miyashita. Tsuyoshi Tadokoro, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 38th save.

Chipping in for Rock River was catcher Harley Ware. He stroked a 2-run double in the top of the first. For the game, Ware was 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Ware.

The Rats own a robust 102-49 mark.
