Predators Lose Again, 5-3
|
Spokane starter Jon Keyte pitched effectively against the Topeka Predators at The Field at Richmond. The right-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Keyte went 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 11-11. Yoshiki Sato earned the save for Spokane, his 29th of the year.
One significant plate appearance for Spokane came with one out in the top of the sixth inning. Bulldogs catcher Freddy Rodríguez hit a 2-run home run, which helped Spokane go on to win.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Rodríguez.
The losses continue to add up for Topeka, which has now fallen 8 times in a row.
