Spokane and Topeka played a hard-fought contest at The Field at Richmond.
Spokane right-hander Ashley Heath helped his team edge Topeka by the score of 3-2. Heath kept the opposing lineup in check. The slumping Predators have dropped 7 in a row.
This game went down to the wire. In the top of the ninth, Nassim Mathieu had a big at-bat. With one out, the Spokane third baseman hit a run-scoring double, to put his team up, 3-2.
"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Armando Ortíz.
