Spokane third baseman Shintaro Yamada had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Boise Hawks, 7-6. Spokane reliever Jin-yu Kim was credited with the win, to go to 5-1. Alejandro Román took the loss for Boise. With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 75-73.

Had Yamada not come through in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Yamada hit a run-scoring single. The Bulldogs never looked back after taking the 7-6 lead.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Yamada.
