Wolverines Take Close Win Over Rats
The Wolverines took Rock River pitcher Josuke Fujihara's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Rat Hole. The final score was 3-2, Wichita. Fujihara went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 7. Luis Domínguez sewed up the save, his 4th. Wichita now sits in third place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division at 73-77.

Runs were hard to come by in this one. Maurizio Neri's at-bat with one out in the top of the ninth, therefore, was critical. The Wichita second baseman hit a 2-run single, to put his team on top, 3-2.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager John Smiley.
