Earl Campbell Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Sandy Springs Spartans and DeKalb Cornhuskers.
The DeKalb Cornhuskers defeated the Sandy Springs Spartans, 5-3. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Zheng-ze Joe, who went 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. DeKalb reliever On Khu picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. P.J. Ross absorbed the loss.
Sean Clark broke a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the sixth with a 2-run single. It put the Cornhuskers in front, 5-3. For the game, Clark was 2-5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said DeKalb manager Shusaku Fukuda. "It's usually not just one thing."
