Kemp, Mustang Too Much for Ducks
|
Benefiting from Nate Kemp's productive game, the Carson City Mustang downed the Long Island Ducks, 10-6. Kemp was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 5 for the Mustang. Carson City, at 79-70, occupies second place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division.
Kemp went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 against the Ducks. With the game tied in the bottom of the second inning, he hit a 2-run home run that scored 2 and put Carson City in front, 2-0.
After the game, Kemp refused to speak to a reporter for the Carson City Chronicle. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
