Late Rally Gets Win for Beehive
|
The Beehive grabbed a win, 3-1, at The Hive, overcoming a fine effort from Carson City pitcher Pedro Robles. Robles went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Tom Wilson closed the game out for Madison, earning his 28th save. With the win, the Beehive have a record of 67-78.
Jim Cantwell had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for the Beehive. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Madison trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Cantwell said after the game.
