Snaps Roll to 8-3 Win Over Ninjas
|
The Cincinnati Snaps powered past the New York Ninjas, 8-3, at Confucius Field. Héctor Cabrera went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs, to lead the charge. Ricardo Estrada picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-2. He struck out 4 in 6 innings. Quang Thuan earned the save, his 2nd, for the Snaps.
Noboru Nishida contributed to the Cincinnati cause with a productive at-bat in the top of the first inning. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single, propelling Cincinnati to the win.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Cabrera told the Cincinnati Gazette.
The Snaps saw their win-loss record go to 64-81. At the same time, the Ninjas fell to 77-68.
