Ducks Saddle Cornhuskers with 10-6 Loss
Not everyone stuck through the 51-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The Long Island Ducks dealt the DeKalb Cornhuskers a 10-6 loss at Long Island Stadium. Akihiro Matsumoto was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The win was Casey Reynolds's in relief. His record improves to 3-4. John Patterson took the loss for DeKalb.

Eduardo Antonio changed the game with one swing of the bat. With no one out in the bottom of the seventh, the Long Island designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run off John Patterson. It was his 8th home run of the season. With it, Long Island took the lead, 9-6.

"I don't care about style points," Matsumoto said. "I only care about winning."

Long Island bumps their record to 72-74 with the win.
