Rats Deal Lights 10-6 Setback
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Rock River Rats and Phoenix Lights clash at UFO Field.
Despite a fine performance by right fielder Kunio Suto, the Phoenix Lights suffered a 10-6 loss to the Rock River Rats. Suto went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Rats have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
Making an impact for Rock River was second baseman Ichizo Hamada. He drilled a 2-run double in the top of the third. For the game, Hamada went 2-4 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Hamada told the Rock River Bulletin. "It's as simple as that."
