Ninjas Turn Back Rock River, 5-3

Fans who gathered at The Rat Hole saw a good contest between the New York Ninjas and Rock River Rats.
New York starter Koichi Takahashi had a strong outing against the Rock River Rats at The Rat Hole. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. Takahashi picked up the win for New York, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 8-5. Nobuatsu Fukumoto converted his 35th save in 40 tries.
One significant plate appearance for New York came with two out in the top of the fifth inning. Ninjas designated hitter Noriyuki Miyamoto hit a 2-run double, which helped New York go on to win.
"You come to the ballpark to do your job and that's what I did today," Takahashi told the New York Daily News.
The Ninjas bumped their record to 77-65 with this latest triumph.
