Bronx right-hander Bob Alexander shut out the Philadelphia Freedom, 4-0. With the win over Philadelphia, the Bombers improved to 60-102.

David Fuller took Dong-soo Bruce deep with no one out in the top of the second. On a 1-1 fastball, Fuller drilled a solo home run to left-center. It was his 15th home run of the season and put Bronx on top, 1-0.

"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Fuller.
