Titans Drop Another One
|
The Seattle Sasquatch got a magnificent performance from pitcher Koryusai Uchida, who stifled the Omaha offense en route to a 2-1 Sasquatch win at Titans Park. The winning pitcher was Uchida, now 8-8. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 7. Greg Ward closed the door for Seattle, picking up his 13th save of the year.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when center fielder Lee Jones, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, drew a walk. The Sasquatch went on to win.
"Koryusai is still learning," said Seattle Sasquatch manager Carl Best. "The sky's the limit for him."
The Titans have now dropped 5 straight.
