The Antioch Coal Miners topped the Minneapolis Freeze, 16-5, with youngster Roger Schäfer playing a key role. Schäfer hit 2 home runs, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 7 for the Coal Miners in the win. Minneapolis's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Schäfer had a consequential at-bat in the bottom of the second for the Coal Miners. Coming up with the bases loaded and Antioch trailing 1-0, he hit a grand slam.
