The Victoria Vikings and Chippewa River Chiefs completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Vikings faced a stiff challenge from Chippewa pitcher Juan Martínez, but persevered to claim a win at The Reservation. The final score was 7-1. Martínez went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Victoria starter Maurice Bignold was credited with the win after throwing 87 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 9-8.

Lee Cong drove in one run for Victoria. The 20-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Juan Martínez. It was his 32nd RBI of the season.

Cong called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
